Lucchini Central Europe GmbH was founded in early 2015 as a joint venture between the globally Lucchini RS Group and the company SMW,
which specializes in the processing of metal parts for middle and for large series.
Lucchini Central Europe manufactures railway wheels and has established itself in particular in the manufacture
and delivery of high-speed wheels (ICE), solid wheels with demanding geometries and requirements, and locomotive wheels.
In the Group, Lucchini Central Europe is responsible for the entire market in the DACH region
and supplies a large part of the high-speed wheels required for passenger trains in this market.
